Patience Antonio - Member

Mrs. Antonio is a passionate achiever with over 25 years’ experience in Human Resource Management, Micro- Finance and Community Development programmes. She has worked for both international and national organisations and has held many senior level positions including Manager of Partner Training, Senior Human Resource Specialist, Senior Training Officer, Community Development Expert, among others.

She has over 15 years’ experience in corporate leadership and had held many voluntary positions. Mrs. Antonio is currently the Board Chairperson of Microfin Rural Bank PLC and the President of the Central Regional Chapter of Association of Rural Banks. She had previously worked with over 10 (ten) RCBs using the Credit With Education model, which enabled the RCBs deepen their financial intermediation and achieved 95% recovery rate.

Mrs. Antonio holds an MBA in Human Resources from the University of Ghana, Master’s Degree in Guidance and Counselling from Methodist University College, Certificate in Women Social Leadership from New York University, USA, Certificate in Cyber Counselling from TUCEE Institute and BA in Social Work with Political Science from the University of Ghana. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Human Resources Management Practitioners Ghana, Ghana National Certified Association of Counsellors and recently inducted into membership of the Institute of Directors Ghana.

She has done many assignments with funding from the World Bank, DANIDA, UNICEF, Government of Ghana, Germany Development Services, Department of International Development, Plan Ghana, Action Aid Ghana and Compassion International. As a consultant, she has worked with state institutions such as the Kofi Annan International Peace Keeping Training Centre, Ghana Statistical Service, Forestry Commission, Ministry of Gender and Social Protection.

She was also part of consultants who evaluated the micro-finance sub- sector for the Gender Ministry and contributed to discussions that culminated in the formation of the Micro-Finance and Small Loans Creative (MASLOC). She is currently the Training Manager for Compassion Ghana and the Chairperson for Thriving Child Series Committee of Compassion Ghana.
